A New Millennium
We've seen mankind evolve, from a cell to a cave
From Neanderthal man, to the Indian brave.
Man has walked on the moon, sent missions to Mars
In the coming millennium, it will walk through the stars.
In life's fields of learning, what will it mean to you and me
In much higher dimensions, of a life, yet to be.
We can not go through life just living, or worship with the saints
We can touch all sorts of glory, yet always run against
This block in mind and vision, when we fear what we dont know
It's then we go beyond the self, to listen, learn and grow
When understanding ceases, when knowledge makes a pause
Don't tell me theres no meaning don't tell me there's no cause
We haven't lived a lifetime, to be an empty drum
We haven't lived for nothing, when the spirit whispers, Come.
For if we could be enlightned, in the twinkling of an eye
In Life's spiral of progression, where time and matter fly
Do we think that we could ever, throughout eternity
Find long lost generations, where gods began to be
Or view the grand beginning, when space did not extend
Or see the last creation, where gods and matter end
Methinks the spirit whispers, no man has found this place
Nor seen behind the curtains, that hide creation's face.
For nature's work continues, life and energy abounds
Evolving and perfecting, in eternal, endless rounds.
There is no end to wisdom, there is no end to might
There is no end to spirit, there is no end to light
There is no end to glory, there is no end to love
There is no end to being, there is no death, above
The new millennium, may it be, a time of peace and love
Where mankind finds enlightenment, from higher realms above.
