Suicide of the Self

Fields of fear,
You live with them.
You grow with them.

That is you hiding in the woods-
But you're lost within the trees.

You are scurrying through the flames
that was once a heartfelt passion,
now you are only burned
into your own liberation.

The unity of life;
like a bullet to the brain
A silent flowering
of the stars
that hold you close
and stings your eyes,
and tears you apart,
while showing you the world.

The dark black nothing
The sky tries to hide
Just as if the bright light of love,
is hiding your fears.

All the while, the fields are burning
Limiting your life
Limiting your growth
Your perception grows short;
You have slit your own throat.
